Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Trades Sector Supervisor, the incumbent performs painting related duties for buildings within their sector of the downtown campus
Following plans and specifications, the painter prepares and repairs surfaces to be painted or stainedMixes dyes, paints and other substancesPaints, stains, dyes, and varnishes furniture, walls, ceilings, etcApplies wallpaper and other materialsRepairs broken windows and works on engraving machine
Qualifications:
Must have competency card and safety card. English and French functional spoken.
Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level 2 on a scale of 0-4.
