The Painter II is responsible for preparing and painting components, subassemblies and final assemblies (including specialty assemblies).
This position is part of the Pall Aerospace Paint Department and will be located onsite in New Port Richey, FL. The first shift work schedule is Monday thru Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM and overtime is routine. This position reports to the Coatings Production Supervisor / Cell Leader.
This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Setup and operate equipment in the paint shop to produce product to specification requirements.
+ Prepare, process and measure to ensure compliance to blueprint and work instructions. Understand and mask product to meet specifications. Understand and use all measuring equipment.
+ Perform preventative maintenance as required and complete all necessary paperwork required. Communicate ideas, problems, and concerns to management.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ High School graduate or equivalent (i.e. GED), plus two (2) years of experience in mil spec painting or in automotive painting.
+ Skilled in using conventional spray applications of enamels, epoxies, polyurethane, and water base paints. Knowledge of all processes and equipment related to paint applications. Understand use of paints and solvents needed and handle in a safe and proper manner.
+ Understand, follow and effectively communicate verbal and written instructions. Must be able to read blueprints. Must have basic math skills. Work overtime as required, including weekends.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
+ Requires passing a Respirator Test and must wear required PPE during the performance of work-related activities.
+ Required Lifting Weight: 35 lbs. Lifting Frequency: Daily. Bend/lift/sit/stand for long periods of time. Demonstration of good manual dexterity along with good hand / eye coordination.
+ Ensure proper handling and disposing of hazardous waste (i.e. paint waste). Must follow all environmental policies and procedures when working with chemicals, oils, and solvents. Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ Working in an aerospace manufacturing facility
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
