Schedule: Strict 8 AM - 5 PM PST, Wednesday-SundayHybrid Role: Wednesday-Friday in-office, Saturday and Sunday remoteOn-call shift: Potentially needed from 6 PM - 6 AM
Description:
Collaborate with engineering teams to automate processes, assist with capacity planning, and support global infrastructureEngineer and deploy high-performance, scalable, and high-availability network infrastructure.Produce quality documentation for network issues, updates, root cause analysis, troubleshooting techniques, and network analysis, including diagrams/templates.Ensure reliable operation of systems by designing and implementing network tools to diagnose and resolve network issues.Act as a liaison between production engineering groups and serve as Tier 2 support for Systems, Media, Storage, and Cloud Operations Engineers.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years in network engineering and operations for a studio, ISP, or major enterprise network in a 24x7 environment.Experience working in a multi-vendor network environment (Juniper, Arista, Cisco, Brocade, Palo Alto, F5, Infinera, Ciena).Proven record of implementing mission-critical networks.Familiarity with Public Cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).Network theory and services expertise (TCP/IP, UDP/IP, OSI layers, DNS, DHCP).Proficiency with technologies: VXLAN, STP, ISIS, BGP, EVPN, MPLS, networked storage, I/O technologies, network hardware, file systems, video streaming.Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of network security best practices.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
Certifications:
JNCIA-Junos, JNCIA-MistAI, JNCIA-SEC, ACE-A, PCCSA, PCNSA, PCNSE, CCNA, CCNP, BIG-IP, DDI Professional.
Additional Skills:
Experience with virtualized network environments, network scripting/automation, and configuration management (Ansible, Terraform).Expertise in WAN, LAN, and MAN environments, network-to-network connectivity, VPN security, and automation for network event mitigation.Background in media production network environments, particularly with studios or postproduction houses.Preferred Personal Characteristics:Customer-focused, analytical, self-driven, and proactive problem solver.Excellent global communication and documentation skills.Ability to multitask, manage priorities, work well under pressure, and collaborate effectively.Team player with strong interpersonal skills and face-to-face customer interaction capabilities.Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
