About the Private Asset Management (PAM) Team:
Baird’s Private Asset Management team is the institutional consulting division of Baird Private Wealth Management. Our team of associates manage $16+ billion of assets, provide deep expertise with credentials including CFA Charterholder, CPA, JD, PhD & MBA and are 100% firm shareholders.

As a PAM Operations Associate, you will:
Handle client cash management needs, including sending money by wire, ACH, and check.Work directly with clients and their centers of influence (accountants, attorneys, family office) to open new accounts, process tax payments, issue checks, etc.Utilize processes that track service requests, measure response time, and monitor follow-ups through the client relationship management system.Communicate clearly with clients and other PAM functional teams to ensure client needs are met efficiently and professionally.Initiate and complete all transactions required to onboard new accounts or new clients, as well as the ongoing management of existing client accounts. This includes processing paperwork, asset transfers, reconciliation of assets received and execution of client account allocation instructions.Enter security trade orders for stocks and mutual funds per Financial Advisors’ written instructions (when licensed).Stay current and understand firm policy and procedures in an ever-changing regulatory environment, being able to articulate the reason for certain requirements to clients as needed.Maintain client information by updating accounts and other systems that store data.Performs any other duties as assigned.What we look for:
Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or 2+ years of financial services industry experience is a plus.SIE, Series 7 & 66 licenses required or willing to obtain within 18 months.Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) with the ability to learn and effectively navigate Baird’s Private Wealth Management Technology platforms (Thompson One, CRM, Liquid Office, DocuSign).Passion for providing high-value client service.Diverse understanding of operational procedures and processesAbility to handle multiple assignments; work under pressure and within deadlines to produce accurate, high-quality results.Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, monitor, and complete multiple tasks or projects, either independently or collaboratively within a team. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must, with the ability to effectively relate to work in a team team-oriented setting.
