This position is responsible for performing support functions in the daily operations of a legal division by reviewing, gathering, organizing and processing information relevant to case files. Research into governmental and financial regulations by which the organization must abide.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%) Review, track, and monitor legislation that impacts the company’s products and/or processes Assists in implementing changes to contracts to comply with legislation/regulations Assist with paperwork needed by the SEC, IRS, UCC and other regulatory bodies Ensure the organization operates within the legal requirements set forth by local, state and federal regulations regarding trade, governance and employee rights Prepare legal documents and case components - including affidavits, pleadings, appeals, briefs and closings for attorneys - as well as assisting lawyers with drafting a variety of contracts Partner with members of the legal team on special projects and initiatives as needed
Required Qualifications
Experience: 3 plus years’ experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Professional Certifications: Paralegal Certificate preferred
