Position Overview
International® Financial, the captive finance company for International Motors, LLC, is seeking a Paralegal – Commercial Transactions to join our dynamic in-house legal team. As an integral part of our organization, you will provide legal assistance to International Financial attorneys and act as liaison between our attorneys, outside counsel, various governmental organizations, and the International Financial business group on a broad array of commercial transactions.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in commercial transactions, analyzing UCC filings, drafting legal notices, agreements and forms and legal research and ability to apply this knowledge and these skills to complete a wide range of tasks. This position reports directly to the General Counsel of International Financial and is based at our Lisle headquarters in Illinois.

Responsibilities
+ Assist attorneys with drafting and reviewing commercial transaction documents.
+ Conduct and review UCC searches and filings.
+ Administer state business registration and licensing.
+ Perform statutory and regulatory research.
+ Collaborate with attorneys and business people to respond to legal notices (PMSI and bankruptcy notices), including drafting and filing bankruptcy proofs of claim.
+ Organize, maintain and update filing systems.
+ Provide legal support and services on a broad range of topics and issues.
Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree
+ At least 5 years of paralegal experience
OR
+ At least 7 years of paralegal experience
Additional Requirements
+ Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
Desired Skills
+ Proven experience in commercial transactions, particularly UCC issues.
+ Financial services experience is preferred but not required.
+ Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
+ Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ A self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
