We are seeking a highly skilled Paralegal to join our in-house legal team in Sioux Falls, SD. Candidates based in the Omaha, NE area are encouraged to apply, with required travel to the corporate office one week each month. The Paralegal will play a key role in supporting the General Counsel by handling corporate governance matters, managing the contract lifecycle, assist with various litigation and risk management matters, conducting legal research, and assisting with compliance. This position requires strong legal acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a diverse set of tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

Assists in the preparation and maintenance of corporate documents, including board resolutions, meeting minutes, and corporate filingsPrepares, drafts, and reviews a wide variety of contracts, including NDAs, vendor agreements, service contracts, and partnership agreements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standardsAssists in negotiating terms and conditions with external parties, providing legal insight to ensure the company’s interests are protectedManages the contract lifecycle, including monitoring key dates, renewals, and terminations, and maintains an organized system for contract storage and retrievalMaintains and updates contract templates to reflect changes in laws, regulations, and company policiesSupports the General Counsel in ensuring compliance with corporate governance requirements and best practicesMaintains corporate records and ensures all legal entities are in good standingConducts legal research on various issues, including regulatory compliance, employment law, intellectual property, and other areas relevant to the company’s operationsProvides legal summaries, memos, and recommendations to the General Counsel based on research findingsAssists in the development and implementation of compliance programs, policies, and proceduresMonitors and reports on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company’s operationsSupports the General Counsel in responding to regulatory inquiries and auditsAssists in managing litigation matters, including document production, discovery, and coordination with outside counselMaintains litigation files and tracks deadlines for court filings and other critical datesIdentifies potential legal risks in business operations and provides recommendations to mitigate those risksAssists in the development and implementation of risk management strategiesWorks closely with various departments, including Finance, HR, Compliance, and Operations, to address legal issues and support business initiativesServes as a point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding legal inquiries and contract matters


Requirements 7+ years of experience in a paralegal role; 3+ years supporting in-house legal counsel preferredExperience in contract management is essentialBachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field. Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program is highly preferredStrong understanding of contract law, corporate governance, and regulatory complianceProficient in legal research, drafting, and reviewExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlinesStrong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsProficient in legal research tools, contract management software, and Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with litigation support and working with outside counsel is a plusValid driver’s licensePassing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
