Chubb’s New York House Counsel firm, EUSTACE, PREZIOSO & YAPCHANYK seeks a Paralegal with expertise in New York personal injury defense litigation.
The position is a 3/2 Hybrid position requiring working in the office 3 days per week.
The successful candidate must have five (5) years of litigation experience as a Paralegal/Legal Assistant and a solid working knowledge of New York personal injury litigation.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Professionally draft legal documents, including but not limited to discovery demands, discovery responses, discovery related motions, third party impleaders, subpoenas, stipulations and communications to opposing counsel and judicial personnel; Communicate and interact professionally with clients, claim examiners, adversaries, vendors, experts and judicial personnel; Electronically file within State and Federal Court electronic case filing systems; Consult with various experts and vendors, coordinate and schedule site inspections and schedule independent medical examinations; Assist attorneys with trial preparation tasks;
5+ years of relevant litigation paralegal experience, including State and Federal litigation experience; Ability to assist multiple Attorneys with high-volume caseloads from case intake through trial; Demonstrate cutting edge knowledge of contemporary technology, systems and software utilized to practice law in a digital environment; Excellent time management and organizational skills and ability to thrive in a high volume and team environment with a deeply ingrained belief in customer service; Experience with PROLAW is a plus Bachelor's Degree and Paralegal Certificate from a recognized paralegal training program required;
The pay range for the role is $54,000 to $86,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
