WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Paralegal will work closely with our in-house legal department with a focus on employment law, invoice and budget management, and general paralegal tasks. Job duties include:

Employment Matters:Assist with the management of employment related legal matters, including drafting and reviewing employment and separation agreements and other employment related documents.Assist the legal team with employment claims, manage case files, and coordinate with outside counsel when necessary.Conduct research on employment laws and regulations to ensrue compliance across jurisdictions.Invoice and Budget Management:Mange the department's legal billing process, including reviewing and processing invoices, tracking legal expeditures, and liasing with accounts payable to ensure timely payment.Assist with monitoring and maintaining the department's budget, preparing monthly and quarterly reports to track and forecast legal expenses.Assist in implementing cost-saving initiatives and ensuring efficient use of resources.General Paralegal Support:Provide comprehensive assistance drafting, reviewing and organizing various legal documents and correspondence.Maintain organized files for all legal matters, ensuring secure and confidential handling of documents.Conduct legal research and prepare memos on various issues as directed by attorneys.Coordinator with outside counsel and other departments on various projects and litigation matters.Compliance and Administrative Support:Assist with compliance initiatives, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely filings.Handle general administrative tasks for the legal team, such as answering phones, scheduling meetings, organizing case files, and tracking project deadlines.Other duties as assigned.

YOUR MUST HAVES:

Must be 18 years of age or older.Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience, with experience in a law firm or in-house legal department preferred.Knowledge of employment law, including employment agreements and claim handling.Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to handle confidential information with the highest level of discretion and integrity.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).Familiarity with legal research tools and resources.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


WHAT WE PREFER YOU HAVE:

Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certification preferred.Strong experience in managing legal invoices and budget tracking.


OUR ENVIRONMENT:

This is a hybrid role, partially based at the Corporate Headquarters, combining time in a traditional office setting with remote work from your professional home office. You will be expected to work on-site at minimum three days a week. The position requires sitting for extended periods of time while working on a computer.
