Job Summary
Covenant House New York, Legal department is seeking a Paralegal to assist the Legal Affairs team with administrative tasks and certain tasks related to investigations, policies and presentations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Support League policy management, including drafting, distribution, and compliance. Assist with the preparation of PowerPoint presentations and other materials, including decks, guides, tracking charts, checklists, and reports. Assist (under supervision of CHNY attorneys) with investigatory needs, including factual analyses, informational intake, and summaries. Draft legal documents. Manage documents and electronic files, and the process for responding to litigation discovery requests. Conduct legal research Provide support for independent contractor processes, including working on templates and interfacing with internal stakeholders on departmental needs and engagement requests. Interview clients Additional responsibilities as assigned.
