Description We are in search of a dedicated Paralegal to be an integral part of our team in the Restaurants & Catering industry, based in COLUMBUS, Ohio. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for overseeing legal matters related to real estate and development. Your contribution will ensure the smooth execution of lease transactions, maintenance of lease documentation, and compliance with relevant real estate regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Handle incoming requests related to estoppel and subordination and non-disturbance from various sources.
• Offer legal guidance on matters of leasing, development, and asset management to drive successful real estate transactions.
• Work closely with both internal teams and external parties, including their legal counsel, to negotiate and execute necessary legal documentation.
• Stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal real estate laws to ensure the company's compliance.
• Extract crucial information from lease agreements for accurate entry into the company's lease database system.
• Prepare and draft legal documents related to real estate transactions, ensuring each document is precise and clear.
• Manage the distribution, approval, and execution of legal documents, while strictly adhering to key controls.
• Maintain and organize electronic lease documentation files for easy access and efficient record-keeping.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement in internal workflows to boost efficiency and operational effectiveness. Requirements • Proficiency in Aderant software
• Ability to use Adobe Acrobat effectively
• Familiarity with Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS)
• Proficient in using Case Management Software
• Experience with CompuLaw
• Skilled in handling Billing Functions
• Ability to carry out Briefing tasks
• Proficiency in Calendar Management
• Experience in Claim Administration
• Excellent Communication skills
• Prior experience as a Corporate Paralegal
• Familiarity with Corporate Real Estate procedures and operations
• Knowledge of Real Estate - Leasing
• Experience in drafting and interpreting Real Estate Contracts
