Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Paralegal in the Commercial Real Estate industry, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a Paralegal, you will be playing a crucial role in assisting with real estate transactions, maintaining corporate records, administering leases, and providing overall support to the team. Responsibilities: • Drafting lease agreements, purchase agreements, addendums, closing documents, and other real estate and corporate contracts • Assisting in the organization of the lender approval process • Managing corporate recordkeeping, including document and file management, and preparation of written actions and corporate minutes • Supporting internal departments as needed, such as preparing tenant welcome letters and construction reminders • Overseeing transactional due diligence activities, including title and survey review • Maintaining and executing critical timelines, circulating and calendaring • Preparing comprehensive closing checklists, filing Electronic Certificate of Real Estate Value (eCRV), and coordinating internally and externally for efficient closings • Reviewing and preparing general correspondence, as well as performing other clerical duties as necessary, such as scheduling appointments and managing mail • Managing the property tax appeal process • Conducting review and research on real estate transactions and company policies as required. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Paralegal in the Commercial Real Estate industry. • Proficiency in using Adobe Acrobat, Case Management Software, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in client communications. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to handle lease agreements, construction documents, commercial real estate matters, and real estate contracts. • Detail-oriented demeanor, demonstrating independent judgment and confidentiality. • Ability to multi-task and maintain organizational skills in a fast-paced environment. • Deadline-oriented with a proven track record of handling purchase agreements, addendums, and closing documents on time. • Knowledge and understanding of real estate lending and record keeping. • Experience in managing real estate transactions. • Ability to compose correspondence, manage outgoing mail, distribute incoming mail, and sort incoming mail. • Knowledge of property tax regulations and procedures. • Proficient in scheduling appointments and calendar management. • Demonstrated administrative skills, including the ability to generate detailed reports. • Computer proficiency is a must. • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality in all matters.
