Job Summary
The Paralegal will assist a corporation's legal department in many facets of corporate law--from paperwork to court proceedings. Much of the paralegals' time will be spent carrying out routine tasks such as updating company files, preparing legal contracts, reviewing documents, and giving legal assistance. This position may handle executive summaries and directives.

Meets with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases, contracts, corporate governance resolutions or projects. Drafts legal documents including contracts, corporate governance resolutions, routine pleadings and motions, affidavits, and interrogatories; files motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures. Researches and analyzes statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provides written analysis to attorneys. Interviews clients and witnesses and prepares summaries of their statements. Prepares, organizes, stores, and retrieves contracts, corporate governance resolutions and case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and other items. Assists attorneys with trial preparation, which may include attending trials and hearings. Develops and maintains records regarding billable hours spent on specific cases. Prepare Board, notices, agendas and minutes. Assist General Counsel with his/her agenda. Keep track of external counsel invoices billable hours spent on specific cases. Review billable hours spent on legal projects and cases. Prepare Legal Executive Reports. Orchestrate the workload of different areas and keep track of cases and deliverables. Performs other related duties as assigned.
