**RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS**
**Responsibilities:**
As a Sunrise paralegal, your primary responsibility is to assist the company's lawyers with various legal tasks, ensuring that the specific needs of the company are met efficiently and effectively. Your duties will encompass client intake, legal research, document drafting, corporate entity maintenance, and matter management. Some of the areas of law you will support include regulatory and operational issues, transactions, corporate, and development/construction. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic legal environment and is dedicated to delivering exceptional legal support.
**Essential Duties:**

The unique responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to the essential functions listed as follows:
+ Interface with internal clients/business leaders for intake and fact-gathering
+ Document preparation
+ Corporate entity maintenance
+ Regulatory filings
+ Legal research
+ Coordinate with external counsel as needed
**Core Competencies:**
+ Proficiency in conducting legal research (Westlaw)
+ Written communication- ability to draft clear, concise, and accurate documents, correspondence, and reports.
+ Verbal communication – strong verbal communication skills for effective interaction with internal stakeholders, external counsel, and other professionals.
+ Organizational skills – efficient management of legal documents, ensuring proper filing and retrieval; and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
+ Attention to detail – high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all legal work, including document review and data entry; and ability to analyze complex issues and provide detailed and accurate assessments.
+ Team collaboration- strong ability to work collaboratively within the legal team and with other departments; and commitment to providing excellent client service and support.
+ Adaptability- ability to adapt to changing legal requirements and organizational needs.
**Qualifications:**
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed throughout this job description are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
+ At least 5 years of relevant experience.
+ High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
+ Experienced in legal research, preferably Lexis.
