**SUMMARY OF POSITION:**
The Paralegal is a key position within the Shared Services department of the organization. This position will be aligned with Support Services and partners with Operations to support the various lines of business to manage contracts. The Paralegal will be responsible for reviewing, supporting negotiations and processing customer contracts while ensuring the requisite approvals are obtained as required by the Delegation of Authority.
**The preferred location for this position is Austin, TX; however, candidates from the Dallas/Fort Worth area and Southeast Florida will also be considered.**
Responsibilities
+ Performs analysis and revisions of customer contracts to minimize liability.
+ Secures direction from Support Services and Operations on business and compliance provisions of customer contracts.
+ Coordinates with parent company for approval on critical customer contract provisions.
+ Secures fully executed customer contracts and maintains them in an organized manner while making them available on SharePoint.
+ Maintains utility contract expirations and coordinates with Operations and customers to extend, renew or re-negotiate terms.
+ Supports operations with submitting proposals and securing storm restoration contracts.
+ Responsible for securing and making available current collective bargaining agreements.
+ Support negotiations to revisions in Subcontractors’ Master Services Agreements.
+ Support from inception to termination of real estate leases while maintaining lease details.
+ Reviews and negotiates terms and conditions in vendor contracts and Non-Disclosure Agreements.
+ Participates in Request for Information (RFI)/Request for Proposal (PRP) review process.
+ Supports Operations with contract interpretation and legal concerns.
+ Prepare and delivers contract status reporting.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

+ Paralegal Certificate required.
+ Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Paralegal or Contracts Administrator/Manager.
+ Possess and demonstrate a full working knowledge of contract negotiations and contract management.
+ Excellent written and communication skills.
+ Demonstrate general understanding of utility industry business.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office including Teams, Excel and Word.
