We are offering an ongoing temporary employment opportunity for a Worker's Comp Paralegal in Pikesville. This candidate will be involved in a variety of tasks in the field of personal injury and workers' compensation. The role entails managing workers' compensation claims, maintaining detailed records, and providing support to employees, among other duties.

Responsibilities:
+ Process and manage workers' compensation claims from initial reporting through resolution, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding claims, providing clear communication and guidance throughout the process.
+ Maintain detailed, accurate, and confidential records of all claims and related correspondence.
+ Submit required reports, such as OSHA logs and state-mandated filings, to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
+ Collaborate with HR and safety teams to support incident investigations, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
+ Coordinate return-to-work programs and modified duty assignments for employees recovering from workplace injuries.
+ Stay up-to-date on state and federal workers' compensation laws to ensure compliance and provide recommendations to management on policy updates.
+ Partner with payroll teams to manage wage replacement benefits as required.
+ Support the development and delivery of training programs for employees and management related to workers' compensation practices and workplace safety.
+ Work closely with insurance carriers, legal teams, and healthcare providers to facilitate claim resolutions effectively.
Requirements
A successful candidate will have:
+ Prior experience as a Paralegal in the Workers Comp or Personal Injury fields
+ Proficiency in using Case Management Software
+ Expertise in Calendar Management
+ Knowledge of Workers Comp Law and Workers Compensation
+ Understanding of Personal Injury Law
+ Ability to draft legal documents and letters
+ Excellent email communication and correspondence skills
+ Experience in answering inbound calls
+ Knowledge of risk mitigation strategies
+ Ability to handle discovery requests
+ Familiarity with legal billing processes
