Title: Paralegal and Legal Assistants Location: New York, NY 10004 Duration: 2 years Pay Range: $25-$30/hr Minimum Candidate Qualifications: + Bachelor’s Degree + Paralegal Certificate Job Description + Conduct legal and insurance research for the Life Bureau Deputy Superintendent, Assistant Deputy Superintendents, and Life Bureau senior staff as needed. + Assist with drafting materials (ex. Consent Orders, Stipulations) under supervision of Deputy Superintendent or senior staff. + Review and summarize industry and regulatory reports, including National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) materials. + Review draft examination reports and memorandums. + Review and summarize proposed and final legislative materials. + Assist with Segregated Gift Annuity Fund licensing, including maintaining records of required applicant materials submitted and retention of documents. + Assist Segregated Gift Annuity Fund attorneys and actuaries in their respective roles.
