How you make a difference

As a Paralegal specializing in Claims Litigation, you'll play a vital role in managing professional and general liability cases for the company. Your expertise will be instrumental in overseeing the discovery process and providing essential support for various legal matters concerning litigation. With your experience and skills, you'll ensure the smooth handling of litigation activities, contributing to the effective resolution of legal issues impacting the company's interests.



Key Responsibilities Support various legal activities including discovery management for professional and general liability litigation, collaborating closely with claims managers on litigation-related tasks such as preparing responses to discovery and maintaining claims logs.Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing comprehensive oversight of discovery matters while fostering and maintaining relationships with internal teams.Manage multiple concurrent projects efficiently, drafting concise memoranda summarizing research results for claims managers and defense counsel, and maintaining accurate records of monitored items controlled by the claims staff.Coordinate internal and external claims reporting, track claims and suits, and ensure timely and professional communication when gathering claims information or responding to requests for assistance with litigated matters.Maintain compliance with relevant federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to litigated matters, while also facilitating communication and correspondence with clients, attorneys, and agencies involved in the litigation process.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred; or related experience.

Experience

Minimum of two years’ experience as a paralegal, preferably in health care and privacy fields.Excellent research and writing skills required.Experience with e-discovery required.

Licenses/Certifications

Paralegal certificate strongly preferred
