Paralegal (Full Time, Towson)

General Summary:

The Paralegal will assist General Counsel in a full range of legal matters. Anticipated services include: document support; legal drafting; legal research; fact investigations; policy analysis; monitoring litigation; long term legal projects; utilization of Excel for legal data analysis; and utilization of Sheppard Pratt’s contract management system.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Work requires a Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or related field. Paralegal certificate required. Work requires understanding of legal language and contract principles, research methods and other related matters – acquired though three (3) years of experience. Work managing the office functions, taking meeting minutes, proofreading, and meeting tight and sometimes unexpected deadlines. Position requires analytical ability sufficient to develop and implement office procedures, prepare reports, and compute basic statistics. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment. Must be proficient in the use of personal computer with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and other automated office equipment.
