We are looking for Paralegal Global Risk Manager. In this role you will provide support to Risk Management department of the business unit PMC (Protective Marine Coatings) in which the focus will be on general support to the department.
The position is located in Amsterdam/Netherlands, directly reporting to Senior Legal Counsel and Global Risk Manager PMC.
Local presence is important to fulfil the core responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Dealing with specific warranty requests that are the beyond the regions competencies;
• Assist in the preparation of warranty documents and ensure required approvals in line with internal procedures;
• Organize and maintain issued warranty documents in the database, follow up regarding signature of these documents by customers;
• Assist in handling questions regarding guarantees issued in the regions;
• Where possible improve our documents, processes and sharepoint site;
• Communicate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders including on standard warranties, technical approvals of systems being warranted, legal issues, claims and Insurance;
• Process claims reported and determine initial steps in consultation with Risk Manager/Legal Counsel;
• Maintain database on claims and warranties;
• Organize and prepare global claims meeting held quarterly.
Qualifications:
• Completed college or university law degree;
• Good ability to work independently and take initiative;
• Accurate, organized and structured;
• Motivated team player;
• Hands-on and solution-oriented;
• Good communication skills where you can communicate at different levels;
• Good command of the English language (verbal and written);
• An experience in coating sector would be a plus.
