Paralegal/Legal Administrator

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Report to Senior Vice President, Legal and Contracts.Working with in house counsel and contract management personnel in support of legal and contract management activities.Administrative support of department personnel.Administrative support and coordination with domestic and international operations.Support of corporate risk management program.Document and contract management.Maintenance and updating of insurance and corporate governance databases.Assist with administration of insurance program- domestic and international.Maintenance and updating of company and subsidiary registration and licensing database.Organization and maintenance of domestic and international document management databases.Support of corporate compliance program- domestic and international.Support of legal/contracts training and protocol program.Support of department efforts with respect to corporate acquisition, integration, and merger efforts.Support and management of corporate response to legal process- litigation and third-party subpoenas.Performs such other tasks as may be requested by Department head

Knowledge & Skills Required:

Bachelor’s degree.Minimum 5 years’ of experience as paralegal or legal assistant.Strong verbal and written communications skills.Strong analytical skills.Strong and collaborative skills.Flexibility to deal with management of changing priorities.Legal research skills.Strong organizational skills.Proficiency with software- Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint.Document and contract management experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Corporate in-house experience.Litigation experience.Construction experience.Project management and professional consulting experience.Corporate governance matters experience.International experience.Business insurance experience- professional liability, general liability, property.Corporate compliance experience.
