Paralegal – Legal Affairs – Global Employment Law Group

The Global Employment Law Group in the General Counsel’s Organization (GCO) is seeking a Paralegal – Legal Affairs to support the United States and Canada Employment Law team in managing legal projects; assisting with the handling of litigations, arbitrations and agency charges; updating and maintaining internal databases and document repositories; and optimizing workflows. This role bridges project management and paralegal expertise, providing high-level support to internal and external stakeholders.

Role & Responsibilities:

Oversee and track legal projects within the Global Employment Law Group. Support others in the Global Employment Law Group in managing employment litigations, arbitrations, agency charges and internal and government investigations. Serve as a liaison between internal teams and external counsel, collecting matter files, coordinating communications and monitoring progress on engagements. Review, maintain and assist in drafting employment related documents (e.g., releases, agreements, and HR policies). Collaborate across General Counsel’s Organization and the Colleague Experience Group to facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices. Manage and maintain databases and repositories of legal documents and matter files. Work collaboratively with other team members to meet all project goals. Follow all department best practices/standards for information security and data retention. Contribute to the operation and continuous improvement of the General Counsel’s Organization, including collaborating on drafting/updating best practices, participating in internal projects and supporting the overall mission/goals of the team.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in legal studies or a related field or paralegal certification. 3+ years supporting litigation work in a law firm, government agency or in-house legal department. Effective oral and written communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational and interpersonal skills, focused on clarity and accuracy. High level of professionalism and confidentiality, with a commitment to ethical conduct. Must have the ability to work independently. Customer service orientation with attention to detail and process management skills. Demonstrated ability to deliver results to case teams with moderate direct supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

 

Ability to handle multiple workstreams simultaneously, take on new responsibilities and prioritize work in a dynamic, deadline intensive environment. Ability to act as a trusted advisor to business teams. Ability to build relationships and partner with others to drive results. Ability to pivot appropriately when presented with new information or evolving circumstances.

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
