Paralegal/Legal Assistant II
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a someone with strong clerical and customer service skills. We are ideally looking for candidates who have previously worked in the legal field, with strong attention to detail and proficiency with administrative tasks. We are staffing this role ASAP, so please do not wait to apply. Responsibilities: • Coordinating and scheduling hearings via Zoom, reminding clients of their upcoming hearings and ensuring all necessary follow-ups. • Handling a high volume of phone calls and emails, providing excellent customer service and effective communication. • Responsible for document scanning and maintaining digital and physical files in an organized manner. • Ensuring compliance and managing collection processes where necessary. • Possessing a strong knowledge of legal procedures and documentation to explain complex matters to clients and colleagues. • Utilizing excellent listening and problem-solving skills to address client inquiries and concerns. • Answering a multi-line phone system and managing email communications and correspondence efficiently. • Maintaining accurate records and processing customer credit applications. • Managing calendars and scheduling appointments, meetings, and deadlines. Requirements • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for frequent phone and email follow-ups. • Strong customer service mindset with a proactive approach to client interactions. • High attention to detail for scheduling, compliance follow-ups, and documentation. • Experience coordinating Zoom links and managing virtual hearings. • Ability to schedule hearings and send reminders to involved parties. • Proficiency in scanning and managing documents within an internal system. • Strong listening and problem-solving skills to handle administrative tasks effectively. • Basic computer proficiency, including experience with older mainframe systems (e.g., Rocket Blue Zone). • Familiarity with legal or hearing procedures preferred for better understanding and communication. • Experience with compliance-related tasks and administrative follow-through.
