Join the Thomson Reuters General Counsel’s Office as a Paralegal & Operations Analyst, Customers & Commercial, within the Centers of Excellence and Knowledge Management team.
The Paralegal & Commercial Operations Analyst is part of a large global team of lawyers supporting our Commercial functions.
About the Role
In this opportunity as Paralegal & Operations Analyst, you will:
Project Management & Process OptimizationSupport the team by managing team projects, ensuring deadlines are met and stakeholders are aligned.Maintain the team’s operational playbook and other key process documents.Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and increase Sales and Partnerships contracting velocity.Work with our Legal Operations function to maintain and optimize legal technology tools, such as contract management systems, workflow automation platforms and centralized repositories.Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Commercial Policy, Deal Desk, Compliance, Sales and Partnerships to ensure alignment on contracting processes and implementation of contract lifecycle management system.Knowledge Management & GovernanceManage and continuously improve our legal know-how and business-facing guidance, ensuring content is up to date (by working with applicable SMEs) and structured for easy access.Oversee updates to our knowledge center platform, ensuring alignment with team needs.Maintain and enforce good governance, editorial standards, and version control for legal templates and resources.Communications, Drafting & ReportingManage the legal team’s monthly newsletter, curating relevant content and insights for stakeholders.Draft communications from the team, including updates, guidance, and key messages.Draft basic legal documents (contract variations, NDAs, etc.) and clauses for clause banksWork with our Legal Operations function to track, report, and provide insights on key metrics from legal technology tools and knowledge center for the team and other stakeholders.About You
You’re a fit for the role of Paralegal & Operations Analyst if you have:
Bachelor’s degree in law or paralegal certification (or equivalent legal experience).Experience working in a legal or contract management role, with exposure to contract negotiation, legal operations, and/or project management, within either a corporate legal department or law firm setting.A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset; interest in legal know-how, knowledge management, and process improvementExperience working with cross-functional teams in a business or legal environment.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.Excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.Strong legal drafting skills with familiarity of basic legal concepts and issues.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power BI (preferred) and PowerPoint) and experience with contract lifecycle management systems or legal tech tools.Fluency in English.#LI-AK2
