In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting our legal team’s efforts to uphold compliance, strengthen resident relationships, and streamline landlord-tenant matters across a diverse property portfolio.
The Paralegal provides comprehensive legal support to Related Management Company (RMC) Legal Counsel, focusing primarily on landlord-tenant matters across the RMC portfolio. This position is responsible for preparing and reviewing delinquency reports and legal notices, coordinating with site and portfolio teams, and ensuring compliance with applicable housing laws and internal policies. The Paralegal serves as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and outside counsel on landlord-tenant issues, maintaining accuracy, organization, and professionalism in a fast-paced corporate legal environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare, generate, and review monthly delinquency and rent collection reports.Draft and coordinate issuance of legal notices, default letters, and related correspondence.Make or track delinquency notification calls made by site staff; ensure proper documentation.Communicate regularly with property management and site teams; manage document uploads into the Document Management System (DMS).Act as the first point of contact for outside counsel and internal teams on landlord-tenant issues and litigation updates.Support counsel in managing housing court filings, eviction proceedings, and settlement documentation.Maintain compliance tracking for Related Luxury Rentals and other designated portfolios, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.Monitor and summarize changes to landlord-tenant laws and housing regulations affecting RMC operations.Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and file organization for litigation and administrative proceedings.Assist with general legal and contract support as needed, including research, document review, and reporting.Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency in legal workflows
Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
Anticipated base salary range: $100,000 - $114,000
Actual base salary within the anticipated range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and market factors.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certification required3+ years of paralegal experience, with a focus on landlord-tenant law preferredExperience handling housing court filings, eviction proceedings, and lease complianceStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProactive, solution-oriented approach with attention to detailFamiliarity with compliance requirements and document management systems a plus
