Our Special Collections Department is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to conduct research, identify and locate defendants, prepare and file tax warrants, lawsuits, and client reports, as well as make collection phone calls to recover delinquent tax accounts. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment.Responsibilities
• Conduct research to identify and locate defendants
• Prepare and file tax warrants, lawsuits, and client reports
• Make collection phone calls to recover delinquent tax accounts
• Manage case files and update legal databases
• Ensure compliance with all procedural requirementsQualifications and Requirements
• Self-motivation and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong time management and prioritization skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Basic legal knowledge
• Exceptional grammar and spelling
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Detail-oriented and team-oriented mindset
• Paralegal certification (preferred)
