The Paramedic participates in the provision of patient care based on appropriate training and acuity of patient care needs. The Paramedic performspatient care within scope of practice as defined by State and National levels as well asEnterprise Hospital approved skills and competencies. TheParamedic ensures a safe, comfortable, therapeutic environment for patients and families and collaborates with the care team in contribution toquality outcomes. This position will also perform other duties related to the provision of care as assigned under the general supervision of aregistered nurse with documentation of proper competency, skills evaluation, and/or certification requirement. The Paramedic reports to the EDDirector and ED Leadership Team as well as the CN/Clinical Supervisor on duty. The ED Medical Director should validate competency skills for theParamedic.
