Summary of Job Duties:Working Shift is 7:30pm-6:00am

The Telemedic supports ongoing delivery of teleconferenced stroke care as identified by the IDHI Stroke Program. He/she works under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse and within the EMT or paramedic scope of practice. The Telemedic performs tasks and duties as directed by IDHI Call Center management and medical personnel directing the IDHI Stroke program. Assists in identifying and tracking all calls to the Call Center and data on referrals and case managed patients.
Qualifications:

HS/GED PLUS Professional License/Certification: Current Arkansas Paramedic Licensure; BLS PLUS one (1) year of paramedic experience.

Demonstrates commitment to Professional Nursing/Professional Development/Professional GrowthDemonstrates leadership by modeling professionalism, mentoring staff, and facilitating teaching calls for outside hospital staff. Drives improvements in the Call Center through effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving, while actively supporting team performance.Manages human resources tasks by participating in new employee orientation, documenting the process, and adhering to departmental and UAMS policies.Supports the maintenance and improvement of quality services by assisting with operational activities, tracking call center data, and supporting research related to telemedicine programs. Facilitates communication among stakeholders, analyzes patient care data for service enhancement, and ensures proficiency in telemedicine equipment and certificationsManages department and projects by leveraging technical knowledge in telemedicine/telehealth, effectively organizing tasks, prioritizing, and delegating responsibilities to meet deadlines. Demonstrates independence with minimal supervision while maintaining competency in managing and adhering to the Trauma Image Repository (TIR) policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.
