Job Summary
The Paramedic is responsible for providing high-quality patient care and technical support for individuals of all age groups, including neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. This role collaborates closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver efficient, compassionate, and patient-centered care. The Paramedic is skilled in emergency response, patient assessment, and therapeutic interventions, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, protocols, and standards of care.
Essential Functions
Qualifications
Technical School graduate of an accredited program in Paramedic Science with current state of employment license/certification required 0-1 years of EMT-P experience required 1-2 years of acute care hospital experience preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proficiency in emergency medical procedures and advanced life support techniques. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Ability to work in high-pressure situations while maintaining composure and delivering exceptional care. Competence in operating medical equipment and using EMR systems for documentation.Licenses and Certifications
EMT - Emergency Medical Tech Certification required or PARAMEDIC - Paramedic - Licensed with State Registry/Board required ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required
