Paramedic Full Time (12-Hour Shifts) 8p-8a x 4 days/week
Job Summary Job Summary Performs emergency and stabilizing procedures using protocols as directed by the EMS Medical Director and independent judgment. Responds to emergency and routine requests for transportation to and from medical facilities Works well with other employees, health care providers, and public safety officials and maintains a patient or customer service focus. Provides didactic and clinical instruction to coworkers, health care providers or the public as needed. Demonstrates effective leadership and management of specialized situations. Provides documentation and records as appropriate. Maintains equipment, supplies and facilities. Performs related tasks as required. Adheres to all NRHS policies, procedures and work place rules including but not limited to attendance, tardiness, meal and break times, overtime, safety, etc. Education Certificate or Associate Degree in Emergency Medical Technology. Minimum requirement is completion of the requirements for licensure (DOT curriculum paramedic program) recognized by the Oklahoma State Department of health in accordance with EMS regulations which allows individual to sit for the State and National Registry exams for licensure as an EMT. Experience No experience required. Licensure Must be at least 21 years of age in order to be insured by NRH carrier. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must remain insurable by the NRHS/EMSStat vehicle insurance company by maintaining a good driving record and meeting any other requirement as set forth in the policy. Must have and maintain a current Oklahoma Paramedic License. Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training preferred. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training is required within 6 months of hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment. Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Education for Pre-hospital Professionals (PEPP) training preferred. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Education for Pre-hospital Professionals (PEPP) training is required within 9 months of hire. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Education for Pre-hospital Professionals (PEPP) training is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment. Work Shift Night
