Teach classes at any college location, as needed. Evaluate student progress in achieving curriculum goals and objectives. Request and maintain necessary supplies and equipment. Maintain program certification requirements, as appropriate. Prepare and manage all documentation and administrative reports related to accreditation and state licensing. Ensure safety and security standards are met in the training area. Participate in professional development, recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts. Meet with students, staff, and other educators to discuss instructional programs and address concerns. Participate in committee assignments, program activities, and teach day/evening classes, as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Program Coordination: Ensure programs comply with all SACSCOC, TCSG academic standards, and CAAHEP EMS and CoAEMSP accreditation standards. Oversee the administration, organization, and supervision of the program. Continuously review and improve the educational program's quality. Provide academic oversight, including curriculum planning, development, and supervision of clinical and capstone field internship preceptors. Prepare and manage the program budget. Create and manage course schedules. Develop and maintain Student Learning Outcomes (SLO) and Program Learning Outcomes (PLO). Adhere to advisory committee standards per the SCTC Program Advisory Handbook (agenda, minutes, etc.). Ensure faculty participation in student retention efforts. Collaborate with student affairs and institutional effectiveness personnel to ensure all awards are reported to the registrar. Report job placement data to the Director of Career and Academic Planning. Represent the program at recruiting events and encourage faculty involvement in recruitment activities. Competencies: Understanding of pedagogical practices and theory Knowledge of the mission of postsecondary vocational/technical education Familiarity with academic course standards and the college’s academic programs Ability to work cooperatively with students, faculty, and staff Proficiency in preparing and delivering classroom content Ability to make timely decisions Competence in using computers and job-related software programs Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills Effective interpersonal skills and public relations Organizational and leadership abilities Salary: Salary will be commensurate with education and work experience.
