We are seeking a talented individual to join our Global Alternative Risk Solutions (GARS) team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in London. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. In this role, you will be part of a team that brings together Marsh’s expertise in alternative risk transfer (ART), captives, complex risk, and parametric solutions, working closely with clients to develop tailored solutions that meet their unique needs. This role will primarily focus on parametric solutions.
We will count on you to:
Understand clients’ needs across various industries, develop targets, and design parametric solutions.
Develop a deep understanding of all available parametric products and solutions, focusing on key natural catastrophe perils to educate clients on the pros and cons of these alternative risk finance options.
Liaise with the structurers in the Global Parametric Centre of Excellence to ensure alignment and coordination of parametric initiatives.
Provide assistance and support to the rest of the team in developing other alternative risk transfer (ART) solutions.
Meet with insurers and prepare regular updates for colleagues on risk appetite, market conditions, and emerging opportunities.
Develop material for client presentations, internal and external business development efforts, and colleague training on parametric solutions and trends.
What you need to have:
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and provide support to colleagues.
Good understanding of Parametric and other ART insurance products and concepts.
Curiosity and eagerness to constantly learn and apply new solutions.
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and ideally @RISK or similar tools for risk modelling and analysis.
