Position summary:
The Paraplanner position will come alongside our Lead Advisor’s to learn how to create financial plans and soak up firm-specific procedures and processes. Key responsibilities include preparation of financial plans, investment research and analysis, and coordination of client service needs with team members. The Paraplanner reports to and is employed by Emerald Financial Group. This is an in-office position.
This position provides a growth track to obtain FINRA SIE 7/66 as well as MN Life and Health licensing within the first year.

Job Description
Position Roles/Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Enter client information into various systemsPrepare and update financial plans and presentation material for client meetingsEnter information into financial planning software and prepare draft financial plansDeepen existing client relationships through making sure client information and documentation are up to dateResearch and respond to client inquiriesFinalize, submit, and track all client account and application paperworkAssist in generating performance reportsMaintain information in CRM (Salesforce) systemFill out necessary forms for opening and maintaining accountsIdentify and offer recommendations on how to optimize workflowsOther responsibilities as assigned by the Lead AdvisorPosition Qualifications
Degree in Financial Planning, Finance, Accounting or Economics preferredDemonstrated customer service orientation/experience, 2+ years preferredExtremely strong organizational skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsTechnical computer aptitude and knowledge of business tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce) or ability to learnAbility to handle multiple tasks and maintain a high quality of work while experiencing frequent interruptionsAbility to maintain integrity of sensitive/confidential informationBasic understanding of our products, services, and Thrivent FinancialCompetencies

Must be able to work with all roles of the Emerald Financial GruopMust be able to represent the organization in work with external clientsMust be able to cultivate and maintain relationships with outside organizationsAs part of Emerald Financial Group’s recruiting/hiring/contracting process, a verification of a candidate's background will be made to complete the hiring/contracting process. In addition, fingerprints will be taken for submission to the Federal Bureau of Investigation for review against nationwide fingerprint records.
