What you’ll do:

As a Paraprofessional you will serve as a staff member of the Education Department team. Primarily responsible for implementing and adhering to the principles of the Positive Organizational Culture and providing instructional services to students. The Paraprofessional reports to the Educational Resource Coordinator and/or the Principal and Assistant Principal.

 

To be considered, you should have:

· High school diploma, Bachelors preferred

· Related experience working with at-risk youth.

· Knowledge of: Instructional strategies and how they can be employed to deliver curriculum and assess student learning, various methodologies and research related to learning and working with at-risk, high-school youth.

· Ability to: Establish a teaching rapport with students which results in student achievement in all program areas, collaborate with staff to assist in the delivery of curriculum and implement a team approach to working with students, learn and utilize computers in the overall function of performing required teaching duties, and accept additional tasks as assigned including flexible work schedule and extracurricular assignments.

· Must possess a current State Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years.

· Ability to pass a criminal background clearance check, drug screen, physical and TB test.
