Job Purpose or Objective(s): As a Paratransit Driver, you will transport patients/passengers to non-emergency medical care and providing other needed transportation services. You will report to the EMS Transportation Manager.
PG06 - Start Rate $19.30/hourly
Primary Tasks:
1. Transport passengers to appropriate locations and appointments with a flexible schedule.
Organize data and instructions to coordinate with dispatcher to assure passengers are transported to the appropriate location at the appropriate time.
3. Maintain destination log and/or behavior of passengers, driver logs/checklists according to GSA & CNHSA guidelines, and vehicle logbook with scheduled maintenance of vehicle as needed.
4. Monitor and ensure cleanliness of vehicle and take vehicle to have repairs completed.
Enforce passenger safety and security by following the CNHSA transit safety standards/polices, Federal Transit Administration regulations, and regulatory guidelines.
Secure wheelchairs and mobility devices by attaching to stabilization devices.
7. Assist passengers with physically disabilities in and out of vehicle with door-to-door service.
8. Collect medications, supplies, equipment, and other items as directed by supervisor.
9. Utilize technology equipment and software programs provided by CNHSA.
10. Attend and earn safety training certifications through Choctaw Nation, Federal Transit Administration, and any additional regulatory trainings required.
11. You will perform other duties as may be assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
· Valid Driver License
· Current CPR and First Aid certification or obtain CPR and Frist Aid certification in 30 days of hire
· Current Defensive Driving Certificate
· Ability to operate a smart phone and GPS
· Experience driving both automatic and standard type transmission vehicles
