The role includes:
Managing the day-to-day business of the Council. Preparing agendas and drafting minutes. Advising the council and ensuring council compliance with legislation and best practice. Implementing Council decisions. Managing and reporting on the Council’s finances, including year-end audit reports and VAT. Updating the Parish Council website.
Payroll is provided by a professional third party.
The Parish Council has a Play Area, Parish Field and Village Hall (managed by a committee). There is no responsibility for a cemetery.
Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month. Some additional meetings may be required, and the role holder will be expected to attend these.

Salary is dependent on experience, within the local government scale recommended for Parish Clerks. Subject to annual review along nationally agreed and published guidelines.
Hours: 20 hours per month.
Location: Work from home, with attendance at meetings, which are held at Leadenham Village Hall.
