The Parking Garage Attendant is responsible for performing a variety of Facility/Garage supportive functions which include, but are not limited to: customer service, cashiering, maintain a clean work area, and performing basic maintenance on garage equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities: Direct motorist to parking areas or spaces, using hand signals, or flashlights as necessary. Stock and maintain all equipment. Control traffic entrances and exits as needed. Assists customers with directions in and around campus in a friendly and polite manner. Report any known accidents, safety hazards, maintenance repair, or any suspicious activities to supervisor or appropriate department. Assist customers in the use of automated revenue control equipment including ticket dispensers, pay stations, and exit station equipment. Patrol transient and reserved parking areas on foot or in customized vehicle. Issue citations to vehicles that are in violation of the University Parking Policy. Collect, deposit, and maintain security protocols of cash and any other financial documents. Assists management in the daily operation and maintenance of the parking facility. Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Degree or equivalent. Minimum 2 years’ general work experience Ability to speak and write clearly. Ability to learn and use computer programs.
Preferred Qualifications: Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours: Must be available on weekends and evenings Walk & stand for extended period of time Able to work in all weather conditions for long periods of time Ability to lift 50 lbs.
