Job Description

At Continental Autonomous Mobility, we create next generation automotive software solutions which make automated driving safe and affordable. We work towards Vision Zero, a goal to eliminate fatal accidents happening every day on the world’s roads. We are looking for creative minds who are passionate to shape the future of automated driving by delivering world-class perception and fusion systems.

Our teams develop software solutions for automated parking and safety systems, processing various automotive sensor data and providing a robust, scalable output to driving function modules.

Your Tasks

As Senior Project Manager of our Automated Parking System Solution project, you’ll be a member of the Solution Management team for a 1300+ member project organization, reporting your progress directly to the Release and Business Owners. The project organization consists of 40 development and verification teams across 5 verticals. You will be responsible for:

Drive the execution of the project through coordinating and aligning work across the different verticals including hardware and software, with top-down oversight from initial planning to deliveryCreate and update project roadmap including milestone plans that meet customer requirements, in cooperation with Product Owners, Product Managers and expertsContinuously monitor the system solution project progress, and report to Release and Business OwnersManage risks on system solution level, identify problems and drive their resolutionEnsure adherence to applicable legal requirements, Continental processes and automotive standardsEnsure adequate documentationMentor Product Owners, Release Train Engineers and similar Product Leader rolesComply with the Code of Conduct and Personal conflict of interest rules.

QualificationsUniversity degree (BSc, MSc, PhD) in Computer Science, Electical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or similar6+ years of experience in managing complex, multi-site automotive system software projects (>200 people)4+ years of experience in ADAS embedded system customer or platform development projects as project manager or similar role (>200 people)Leading an automotive ADAS system platform project past it’s first SoP milestone as project manager, technical project manager or similar roleExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent project management skillsStrong knowledge in SAFe, hands-on experience with agile SW developmentGood command of English languageCollaborative, open-minded, team player attitudeAble to positively influence others.

Nice To Have

Multiple years of experience in a System of Systems ADAS customer and platform development projects as project manager or similar roleLeading / managing a complex automotive system project’s transition from prototype to series production3+ years Experience in leading / facilitating a multi-site agile development automotive system / software project.
