Reporting to the Assistant Director of Parking and Transportation, the Parking Systems Specialist is responsible for providing technical support and training for all T2 related systems, which includes, T2 flex port creating next academic year permits, launching academic permit sales for students, creating, and launching summer permit sales, preparing faculty/staff renewal and update the inactive faculty/staff lists.

Providing temporary passes to the provost office for new hires, department requestor, reminder emails, prepare I-1 permits for pickup for the academic year, return permits to be reallocated, nursing clinical students permits, set up law school renewal permits and making sure that the parking portal and website is up to date when launching sales or renewal. Reconcile bursar permit sales and citation accounts. reconcile monthly credit card citations through Touchnet. Weekly Credit Card reconciliation on the T2 PARCS system for the I-1 garage. Training and work with admins on setting up departments for virtual guests passes through FlexPort administration. Help assist the Assistant Parking Director with Exception permits for Freshman and sophomores permits, which includes following up on medical documentation throughout the academic year. Upper classmen resident registration checks. Analyze local off campus addresses. Set up and train new Public Safety Officers, gate officers and dispatchers with Genetec Security Center for use of Fixed LPR readers at the gates. Set up and train Public Safety officers for the parking enforcement application through the LPR vehicle. Run and submit the citation reports. Set up new citations and keep all parking regulations up to date on the parking website. Keep all boot, towing, and improper entrance and exit up to date. Follow up with the parking appeals committee. The Parking Specialist will also provide recommendations for upgrades, improvements, and new equipment to ensure that the Parking garage is operating successfully. This position will also assist the Director with regulation, policy and procedure compliance and supervise all financial and administrative operations of the Parking and Transportation office.

Duties and Responsibilities: Proactive Support and Customer Service Engaging with faculty, staff, students and guests via phone, email, in person visits and T2 systems to assess and provide proactive solutions. This includes support, community, webinars and products through the T2 systems. Work with the Programmer Analyst (Unit) and Director of Residence Life for new permit registration. Coordinate support from other areas as needed to resolve problems. This position needs to remain up to date with all Parking policies and procedures, and needs to ensure they can appropriately, accurately, and easily relay these policies and procedures to the University community. This position will design and deliver training events to the community due to new systems, upgrades to the system, enhancements and short-cuts. Managing all aspects of the T2 systems including hardware, software and account automation procedures. Preventive maintenance of current hardware and software solutions. Assisting with the testing of the new I-1 garage permits. Support the Director of Parking and Transportation in reviewing, evaluating, and implementing new systems and processes relating to parking and transportation. Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge of parking procedures, experience in University or other service-oriented environments. General knowledge of basic accounting principles and general business practices. Experienced in creating and editing reports in Excel. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Basic understanding of networking (wired and wireless) for troubleshooting connectivity. Posses a growth mindset with an eagerness to learn. Talent for building effective relationships and work with the team. Strong Analytical skills in identifying trends and making technical decisions. Ability to identify and evaluate opportunities to improve processes. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a higher education setting. Experience with T2 Systems operations and supper in a higher education setting. Experience with Banner information system Experience in account balancing and reconciliation. Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours: Work in a mix of indoor/outdoor areas around campus. Standing for extended periods of time and moving around campus to triage equipment. Heavy lifting may be required.

The final salary will be determined with consideration of several factors including the selected candidate’s qualifications, department budget availability, market data, and internal equity.
