Exempt/Non-exempt Non-exempt Status Full time The Saint Charles Parks and Recreation Department has an opportunity for a full-time Maintenance I Worker Weekends [Four (4) 10-hour days, Friday through Monday] to perform key park facility and grounds maintenance, construction, and repair tasks under the direction of the Parks Operations Foreman. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. This position performs a variety of basic or semi-skilled tasks related to park grounds and facility maintenance including, but not limited to: + Custodial - rental facility event setup and breakdown, floor sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, refuse/litter collection and disposal, restroom cleaning/stocking, cleaning gutters, sewer and sump pumps, and surface cleaning and painting + Grounds maintenance and turf care - weeding, mowing, watering, trimming, maintenance of picnic tables, grills, fences, gates, walks, benches, athletic fields preparation, installation and maintenance amenities such as goals, bleachers, dugouts, signs, scoreboards, maintenance of irrigation systems + Inspects and monitors Park/Playground equipment and facilities for safety. Reports damages or unsafe situations.
