Work Experience
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor component lifecycle status and identify obsolescence risks using industry tools and databases.Interpret and analyze electrical schematics to locate and evaluate components for obsolescence impact.Review and manage Bills of Materials (BOM) to ensure accurate tracking of components and substitutions.Develop and implement obsolescence mitigation strategies including last-time buys, redesigns, and alternative sourcing.Utilize PLM systems to track product configurations, manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and maintain documentation integrity.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and suppliers to coordinate obsolescence resolutions.Ensure configuration management and quality assurance processes are adhered to during obsolescence mitigation activities.Stay current with industry trends, supplier lifecycle notifications, and technology developments impacting component availability.
Tool Utilization:
Utilize EPLAN & NX tools to extract CAD models, Assembly Drawings, Schematics and BOM data for analysis.Strong ability to read, interpret, and analyze electrical schematics and BOMs.Proficiency in PLM software platforms preferred.
Work Experience
Resource having 5 to 8 years experience as a Electrical Engineer.
Good knowledge on Component selection and alternate part identification.
Good experience as a Part obsolescence
