At Micron, we are seeking an experienced individual who has 2 or more years of post Education experience working in semiconductors, manufacturing, operations, project management, Supply chain, or related field. As a Part Operations Engineer, you will have a vital role in our Technology Development department. You will be in charge of coordinating, analyzing, and optimizing the performance of a developing new part within the fab, aiming for top-notch quality and efficiency. Your engineering and operations expertise will allow you to efficiently implement and improve business processes/Metrics to thrive in a dynamic and goal-oriented industry, with heavy emphasis on cross-collaboration with various teams.

Responsibilities:Partners with key team members to develop applications and processes to continuously improve production metricsCollaborate with engineering to plan for future product introductionPartners with the area Engineering and Operations teams to keep updated on area issues, priorities and projectsCommunicates' fab performance metrics to large diverse group of customersCoordinates New Part Introduction (NPI) between teamsSets strategic and tactical plans for Wip In Progress (WIP), Cycle Time (CT), and priority allocations in collaboration with various Engineering teamsDrives operational planning for critical efforts ensuring we can meet critical timelines.Develops standard processes, reports, dashboards, and other data visualizations to convey project statusPlans, tracks and reports on key lot statusUses statistical analysis to optimize fab performance metrics and audit manufacturing capacity informationPresents findings and recommends solutions to fab performance gapsDrives innovation by researching and using new data modeling techniques or toolsEvaluates and collaborates on scenarios representing changes, performs what if scenarios as needed, and works with Engineering and Operations to understand the impact of the changesInnovates and implements best-in-class predictive models and decision tools to address business needsSeeks out novel methodologies and tools to better predict and supervise manufacturing key performance indicatorsSuccessful Candidates should have the following Qualifications: Candidates will need to have at least 2 years of professional (non-academic) experience in the areas of Operations & Manufacturing to be considered.Excellent multi-tasking, time-management, organization and prioritization skillsDedicated to establishing and maintain effective relationshipsProven track record to communicate sophisticated analysis in a succinct and actionable mannerSophisticated skills in Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel and Power PointProven track record to identify, develop, propose, and implement effective plans to drive overall efficiencyProven track record to organize and efficiently facilitate meetings and project teamsDemonstrated analytical problem solving skills with ability to fix sophisticated problems and address root causesSolid understanding of statistics, data analysis, and problem solvingKnowledgeable in the use of Tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Python, RSolid understanding of production line management techniques and theoriesEagerness to learn, grown understanding of semiconductor production floor concepts and operationsUnderstanding of Manufacturing Science (scheduling, inventory management, capacity planning)Thorough and dedicated to achieving outstanding outcomesEducation and Experience:Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Operations Management, Supply Chain, or equivalent degreesRequired: Two or more years of experience in Operations/Manufacturing.Preferred: Knowledge of the semiconductor manufacturing process in regards to capacity planning, automation, scheduling, cycle time and manufacturing efficiency.Preferred: Knowledge of Backend Assembly processes and associated critical metrics
