We are looking for an Account Technician for the Liability sector (m/f/d) for our large corporate business on a part time basis (80%) based in Cologne. 

  

Your Team 

Join our Liability Team, which is part of the Global Business Operations Department in Cologne and collaborates closely with our Liability Underwriting Team. Together we service our top clients and deliver insurance service on highest level. 

 

The Impact You Will Have 

You will report to the Global Business Operations Manager Liability & Entertainment and will be primarily responsible for providing an efficient administration and processing service for underwriting, claims, accounting, and our brokers and clients. 

 

Some of your specific responsibilities include: 

Responsibility for clients with medium to high complexity.   

Coordination with Underwriting to clarify contract and billing issues. 

Independent invoicing within assigned limits and authorizations.  

Execution of policy documents, invoices and certificates. 

Utilization of relevant information for populating IT systems for contract creation of new or renewed policies. 

Data preparation for internal departments and for control purposes. 

Establishing effective working relationships with internal and external clients; participation in meetings as needed. 

 

What You’ll Bring to the Role 

Ideally you will have a completed insurance qualification.  

Experience in policy management within the insurance industry.  

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.  

You are data-oriented, open to innovation, familiar with digital work methods and front-office systems - ideally in the insurance industry.

Good knowledge of relevant products, terminology, and conditions in policy management is advantageous. 

You are motivated, team-oriented, responsible, and resilient. 

Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize effectively.  

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and an interest in building strong and enduring relationships within the company network.  

Fluent in German (written and spoken), good command of English (level A2/B1).
