Job Summary
As an Airline Customer Service Agent, you will handle various airport and passenger services. Your responsibilities include making reservations, issuing tickets, and processing refunds. You’ll assist passengers by checking in baggage, collecting excess baggage fees, and providing general travel information. At the gate, you will help with boarding and deplaning, validate tickets, and manage reservations and luggage.
You’ll also be responsible for handling lost and found, tracing missing items, and processing baggage claims. Additionally, you'll process airfreight shipments, determine routing, collect payments, and keep shipment records.
Staying alert for any security issues, you'll report suspicious activities or breaches to managers through the WFS whistleblower program to ensure safety and compliance.
Starting Rate: $17 Per hour
Responsibilities Making reservations and issuing tickets and itineraries. Computing fares and issuing refunds. Checking baggage and collecting excess baggage charges. Providing general travel information to passengers. Assisting with boarding and deplaning at gates and departure lounges. Validating passenger tickets and handling reservations, standbys, and luggage. Preparing and checking flight forms, and completing post-departure procedures. Managing lost and found activities, including tracing, returning found items, and processing claims for damaged or lost baggage. Receiving and processing airfreight shipments, determining routing, computing rates, collecting payments, and maintaining shipment records. Reporting security breaches or suspicious activities to managers via the WFS whistleblower program. Remain aware of the activities of WFS staff, security contractors, and visitors and report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance with the site security plan to managers or via the WFS whistleblower program. Minimum Requirements HS Diploma, GED, or Equivalent. Ability to count money. Ability to judge distance. Reports to work on a regular and timely basis. Must be willing to wear uniform and insignia as prescribed by the Company. Preferred Skills Hear and respond to customers. Computer experience is necessary. Demonstrates qualities of leadership, initiative, and judgment. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. May be necessary to speak other language(s), in addition to English, depending on the customer contract. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds (31.9kg).
