Part-Time Assistant Aquatic Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY\n

The Assistant Aquatic Coordinator is responsible for assisting with facility operations at City of Conroe Aquatic facilities and other areas as needed. Specific areas of operation include lifeguards, admissions, and rentals.\n

QUALIFICATIONS\n

Education and Experience:\n

Minimum 18 years of age and high school diploma or equivalent required. College credit, customer service, and supervisory experience preferred.\n

Special Requirements:\n\nCurrent American Red Cross certifications: Lifeguard, First Aid and CPR. \nValid Texas Class \"C\" driver license. \n\n

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: \n\nAbility to interact directly with the public utilizing excellent communication and customer service skills.\nAbility to understand and follow City of Conroe policies and procedures.\nAbility to evaluate and improve existing operations and programs.\nKnowledge and ability to lifeguard and teach lifeguard courses as assigned.\nIndependent thinking is required under general supervision.\nAttend training sessions, seminars, workshops, and certifications as assigned.\nAbility to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Outlook; able to learn and use applicable web-based programs (i.e., ActiveNet, When to Work, Kronos) and others as needed.\n\n

PHYSICAL DEMANDS\n

The work is medium and requires the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and\/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and\/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: balancing, climbing, crouching, feeling, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, pulling, reaching, repetitive motions, speaking, standing, talking, and walking.\n
