Johnson Service Group is looking for a part-time Assistant  Engineer for one of our Clients in San Jose focusing on two major projects: the Coyote Pumping Plant ASD Replacement Project and the Vasona Pump Station Upgrades Project. Here’s a breakdown of the duties and requirements:
Job Duties:
50% of time: Coyote Pumping Plant ASD Replacement Project
Assist with construction deliverables Track and manage construction documents such as RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and progress payments Organize project files and develop meeting minutes Handle other project delivery tasks
50% of time: Vasona Pump Station Upgrades Project
Assist with design deliverables Update project plans, specifications, and cost estimates Handle other project delivery tasks related to design Skills: Proficiency in software and tools such as Excel, AutoCAD, MathCAD, and GIS Experience with capital project delivery processes Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in civil engineering or a related field OR Possession of a valid California Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate with two (2) years of relevant paraprofessional engineering experience. Experience: No prior experience required. License or Certificate: Possession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid California driver’s license. Rate starting at $44.62 DOE
