**GENERAL DUTIES**
Completes non-teaching projects or complex work in support of a Campus or University administrative or academic department. This work is generally of a temporary nature and requires specialized experience or expertise.

The mission of the Graduate Center’s Wellness Center ( Student Counseling Services | CUNY Graduate Center ) has two important components. The first is to support and enhance the wellbeing and success of Graduate Center students through excellent psychological counseling and referral services, outreach, and health education. The second component is to provide excellent clinical training to student mental health clinicians. Infused through all we do are our commitments to multicultural humility and equity.
The Non-Teaching Adjunct, Level 2, supports the functioning of the Wellness Center by facilitating students’ access to mental health care and other community resources that are beyond the scope of services available on campus. This position is approximately for 10 hours per week (total of 225 hours for fall semester, 225 hours for spring semester).It is preferred that the person work on site but there is a possibility for a hybrid work schedule.
This position will report to the Director of the Wellness Center.
**Duties include but are not limited to:**
+ Complete initial screenings of students who are interested in connecting to mental health services
+ Coordinate in-network/affordable mental health referrals for students needing off-campus mental health care (long-term psychotherapy, psychiatry, in-patient and day program, specialized care, etc.)
+ Coordinate referrals for out-of-state and international students who need mental health referrals in their local communities
+ Coordinate referrals for relevant community resources for students with housing/food insecurity needs
+ For students who are at risk/need additional support, provide extended consultation sessions to assist with referral process
+ Follow up with students to ensure that they have connected with referrals that are a good fit
+ Write intake reports and document student contacts and case management activity in electronic record system (Titanium)
+ Attend weekly client review meetings
+ Develop and maintain relationships with community mental health providers, agencies and organizations
+ Update referral database with relevant information, such as: provider areas of expertise, insurance, admissions/intake criteria/processes, waitlists and treatment timelines
+ Build referral database with low-cost housing and food resources
+ Collaborate with part-time referral coordinator as needed
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
Bachelor's Degree required.
**OTHER QUALIFICATIONS**
+ LCSW, LMSW, LMHC or doctoral degree in clinical psychology, social work, mental health counseling or related field.
+ Experience in clinical case management, mental health risk assessment and crisis intervention
+ Experience and knowledge of referrals for mental health care in the tri-state area
+ Competence and humility in working with diverse, multicultural population
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
+ Experience with college/graduate student population
+ Some knowledge of local resources for housing and food insecurity preferred
+ Interest in mental health care provision in campus-based college/university setting
+ Experience with electronic medical records systems for mental health documentation (Titanium)
+ Understanding of established and emerging laws and guidelines regarding interstate/interjurisdictional licensed mental health practice
**COMPENSATION**
$54.45-$56.87/hour ($56.21-$58.72/hr as of 9/1/25 per the new contract)
