Part-Time Cultural Resources Intern

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has up to two part-time, limited-term positions available for cultural resources interns starting in May/June through August 2025. The hours for this position could vary weekly from 0 to 30, and potentially sometimes more than 40. The positions will focus on built environment resources and offer an opportunity to conduct research, author property descriptions and histories, develop historic contexts, conduct field surveys to document historic properties, and collaborate with a diverse project team. Archaeological work may also be a component of training for interns in the Fredericksburg, VA location, if interested. Travel will be necessary. The successful candidate will have completed at least two years of undergraduate coursework in: Architectural History; American History; History; Public History; Historic Preservation; Landscape Architecture, or a closely related field. The ideal candidate will possess any/all of the following: Strong research and writing skills Understanding of American history and architectural styles Availability to conduct field work Master’s level coursework in Architectural History; American History; History; Public History; Historic Preservation; Landscape Architecture, or closely related field If you have strong communication and organizational skills, are self-motivated, and can work well both independently and as part of a team, complete the online application process for this job posting at www.meadhunt.com/careers.
