This position will offer floral distribution services to customers that include warehousing, consolidation, and coordination of the floral product and delivery and will also be responsible for local pickups and deliveries of product. 

Responsibilities •Communicate & coordinate ETA’s with inbound drivers
•Loading of Trucks
•Unloading of Trucks
•Customer Service
•Product Sortation
•Paperwork Sortation
•Canadian Crossing
•Local Deliveries
•Local Pick-ups
•80% Local Tractor Trailer Driving
•20% Dock Work
•Will need to have CDL class A and be able to drive a three axle straight truck. Qualifications

Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.

 

Knowledge

Basic knowledge of the trucking/transportation industry preferred. General knowledge in warehouse operations is preferred.

 

Abilities

Strong organizational, multi-tasking and customer service skills required. Reliable, strong desire to learn, ability to follow directions and focus. Works well with others in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills. Forklift experience and certification preferred. Hours will average up to 60 per week, including on call time and the work schedule will vary based on required local delivery timing.  Due to the nature of our business and during peak shipping periods, it will be necessary to work additionally as needed.   Must be able to send/receive e-mail on a daily basis.

 

Experience, Education, and Training

One to three years related experience and/or training.

 

Physical Requirements

Forklift experience and certification preferred. Must be able to handle boxes up to 60lbs. each.

 

Working Environment

Indoor and outdoor at times. Must be able to handle and endure multiple weather conditions.

 

Licensing/Certification

CDL class A required; also must have clean MVR and be able to pass a DOT physical.

Must be able to gain legal access/entry into Canada and maintain valid passport credentials.
