ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Installs and repairs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings.Prepare for, hook up, maintain, and disconnect show power as requiredInstalls conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables.Ensures piping complies with electrical codes.Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.Replaces conduit and wiring as needed.Replaces circuit breakers as needed.Performs other related duties as assigned.Assist, as required, other skilled trades in a variety of maintenance repairs

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED requiredJourneyman's License preferredMust successfully complete pre-employment background check screeningState of Florida driver’s license and clean driving record.Five (5) years electrician experience preferredThorough knowledge of National Electric CodeStrong mechanical understanding of equipmentAbility to decipher problems and remedy sameAbility to read and decipher blueprints, schematics and working equipment documents.Ability to work both independently and in team-oriented environments.Detail oriented w/ excellent organizational skillsCreative and proactive problem solverAbility to generate trust and support.Computer knowledgeFlexible work schedule, willing to work irregular hours and shifts including weekdays, weeknights, weekends, and holidaysTeam player with complete knowledge of safety in the workplaceAbility to work with job-related toolsEffective written and oral communicationExcellent attendance, time management, and attention to detailThorough knowledge of state and local codesAbility to use a boom lift and able to work at high elevations
